Hey there! I'll be bringing my Fem Avatar cosplay for the weekend, along with a Magic the Gathering cosplay. I may only wear the FE one on Friday, sadly - it'll depend on how quickly I can switch between cosplays. Please let me know if you're planning on doing a photoshoot after all! :) EDIT: Just saw the official meetup is tomorrow from 4-5pm! I'll do my best to be there~

I'll definitely be inhabiting the Soul Eater meetup today and I will be wearing a white labcoat (Okabe Rintaro from Steins;Gate) That's a terrible clue to meetup but that's all I got lol. I'm quite passionate about AMVs.

Panel: Masque of the Red Death Saturday: 11:00 pm - 12:30 am I wanted to share some information about a panel event I am hosting at Anime Midwest called 'Masque of the Red Death.' This is a social elimination game for 10 to 30 players and based off the Edgar Allan Poe short story of the same name. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1wYahdvkxo I've ran this game at GenCon and Origins last year and it went over very well. There are a lot of rules, but they are mostly intuitive and players pick up on the basics within a few minutes. Given the 90 minutes we have for the panel, we probably have time for two games. The premise: Players are guests at Prince Prospero's lavish masquerade. But some players serve the Red Death and are trying to eliminate as many other playeras as possible by getting them cast out of the party or simply killing them. The other team is attempting to cast the Red Death out of the party before everyone succumbs to the plague. In addition to these team goals, each player has an individual goal to achieve and a variety of powers and abilities to assist them. For example, they may have a vendetta against another character or are searching for a certain treasure. What is unique about Masque of the Red Death is that players are never fully eliminated from the game, they may simply obtain a status that limits them. Frozen in place by a spell? That's only temporary. Cast out of the party? You can possibly bribe your way back in. Dead? Perhaps a necromancer can make you 'undead'. You can see a list of character roles on my website (http://www.experimentalgamer.com/masque-red-death/) and reserve on in advance if you like. Just DM me your choice and keep it a secret.

Some of that stuff is on the schedule, just separately and not showing where they'll be. I think I heard that main events are in the Hyatt and panels are in the con center, but I'm not entirely sure. Here's what I found just off the schedule. Not sure if this helps. ---- Friday- Opening Ceremonies: 12pm-1pm in the concert events room (Probably in the Hyatt, most of the concert events will be in this room) Date Auction: 5:30pm-7pm in the main events room (again, not sure where that is but most events besides the opening ceremonies and most concerts throughout the weekend are in this room it seems like. These are likely in the Hyatt.) Formal Dance Lessons: 7:30pm-8:30pm in the main events room The Magic 8-Ball (Formal Dance): 8:30pm-10pm in the main events room Friday Rave: 11pm-4am in the concert events room "Gone Rogue" Burlesque Show (18+): 11pm-12am in the main events room --- Saturday- "Pixel Vixens" Burlesque show (18+) (shortly after the one Friday night, this is still late at night here): 12:30am-1:30am in the main events room Independent Designers Fashion Show (this is in the morning now): 11am-12pm in the concert events room Masquerade: 7pm-9pm in the main events room "Dirty Dancing Dolls" Cosplay Burlesque (18+): 12am-2am in main events room --- Sunday- Closing Ceremonies: 5pm-6pm in the main events room --- Registration Thursday 5pm-7pm Friday 10am-8pm Saturday 10am-6pm Sunday 10am-2pm Con Ops Friday 8am-Open Saturday Open Sunday Open-6pm Karaoke Friday 8pm-2am Saturday 8pm-2am Sunday None Dealers Friday 1pm-8pm Saturday 10am-6pm Sunday 10am-5pm ConSweet Friday 2pm - 2am Saturday 10am - 2am Sunday 10am - 5pm Video Gaming Friday 2pm - Open Saturday Open Sunday Open - 5pm Tabletop Gaming Friday 2pm - 2am Saturday 10am - 2am Sunday 10am - 5pm **Things not listed on their website include: Gaming Tournament Times Maid Cafe Hours THURSDAY: Special Welcome To Con Events To Be Announced! ---- I just tried to list the biggest ones, these are not all of the main events. To see all of them, you can click the link below. All main events are shown in the left two columns of the schedule. http://animemidwest.com/schedule Surprisingly I don't see a Saturday rave on the schedule. I'm not sure if that's a mistake or if this con just doesn't do a Saturday rave. If I find out I'll update you.
