Will we have nice Con weather? (Anime Midwest)

Hey guys! Since con is coming up in about a week (wooooo!), I figured it'd be safe to start keeping track of the weather. What do you guys think? Will the con deities bless us with good weather? Will it be hot and sticky and rainy out? Will it be sunny? So far as of today, my weather app (on iphone) says that Friday and Saturday will be in the 80s, with a chance of storms Saturday. I hope that changes! (Sunday is not yet shown) Have you guys seen any different forecasts? Do you think we'll have bad luck this year and get a storm like the forecast says?

July 1st weather update (according to the iphone weather app): Friday the 8th- Stormy, high of 88, low of 70 Saturday the 9th- Stormy, high of 79, low of 66 Sunday the 10th- Cloudy, high of 82, low of 66 It looks like we might be stuck mostly inside this year :c I'll continue to update this thread. Feel free to add any different forecasts you've seen :3 So far, it looks like we'll be in for a hot con, so make sure to stay hydrated and come prepared with anything to help beat the heat! Also be prepared to be stuck inside or walk in the rain, and plan accordingly. (*edited because before I put the forecast from the wrong area, this is the forecast for Rosemont now)

July 2nd weather update: Friday the 8th- Stormy, high of 88, low of 72 Saturday the 9th- Cloudy, high of 84, low of 70 Sunday the 10th- Stormy, high of 88, low of 72 At this point it looks like the storms may be scattered over the days before and after con, if not over the weekend as well. Bonus- Thursday will also be stormy with a high of 91 and a low of 73.

July 3rd weather update: It's starting to look like we'll miss most of the bad weather! Thursday the 7th- Scattered storms, high of 90, low of 73, 68% humidity Friday the 8th- Morning storms, high of 86, low of 68, 66% humidity Saturday the 9th- Sunny, high of 82, low of 64, 58% humidity Sunday the 10th- Sunny, high of 82, low of 66, 62% humidity It's looking like the temperatures won't be extreme, but definitely expect some pretty hot and humid weather this upcoming weekend. It's starting to look sunny too, so make sure to stay hydrated and bring sunscreen if your going to be outside and your costume allows for it (if you cosplay). It also looks like we might be stuck with some storms, so maybe look into packing some sort of rain gear as well if you know you'll be walking outside to your car or hotel!

July 4th weather update: Things are looking up for us! Thursday the 7th- Stormy, high of 86, low of 73, 69% humidity, 9 mph winds Friday the 8th- Partly cloudy, high of 87, low of 65, 62% humidity, 13 mph winds Saturday the 9th- Partly cloudy, high of 76, low of 62, 58% humidity, 11 mph winds Sunday the 10th- Sunny, high of 80, low of 66, 55% humidity, 10 mph winds Hopefully the storms won't be too bad Thursday, and hopefully the weekend stays clear of rain too. Otherwise, look forward to some hot and humid weather, but nothing too extreme. What would your ideal con weather be?

July 5th weather update: Con is just a few days away and luckily things are looking to be in our favor! Thursday- Morning thunderstorms, high of 87, low of 71, 66% humidity, 10 mph winds Friday- Partly cloudy, high of 86, low of 65, 62% humidity, 15 mph winds Saturday- Partly cloudy, high of 79, low of 61, 53% humidity, 11 mph winds Sunday- Sunny, high of 82, low of 66, 55% humidity, 10 mph winds Congoers who aren't arriving early Thursday/Day 0 should look forward to some nice weather this year! Remember to stay hydrated and stay safe from the heat and sun! If anyone is planning to arrive early on Thursday, you should plan for some bad weather. Tomorrow will be my last update I think.

July 6th update (final update) Things are starting to look more certain now. It looks like we should be clear for a good weekend minus Thursday night. Thursday- Afternoon/Evening storms, high of 88, low of 71, 68% humidity, 9 mph winds Friday- Partly cloudy, high of 85, low of 64, 58% humidity, 18 mph winds Saturday- Partly cloudy, high of 77, low of 61, 59% humidity, 13 mph winds Sunday- Sunny, high of 81, low of 64, 56% humidity, 9 mph winds It's looking a little cooler than before, so hopefully the weather will be more mild this weekend.
